Lentil Soup with Orzo Pasta

- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta until almost al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water. Set aside.
- Meanwhile, heat the oil in a pot over medium-high heat. Add the onions and cook until softened. Then add the lentils, tomato paste and cumin, give it a stir, add broth, and water, cover and bring the mixture to a boil. When the mixture comes to a boil, lower the heat and simmer, covered, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes or until the lentils are tender.
